If, after skin softening, there are still areas of the skin that are rough or imperfect, I may run a separate pass at skin softening specifically for that skin tone. If a photo has areas of bright highlights and deep shadows, multiple applications of skin softening may be necessary to cover all the tonal area.

5. Fix other issues such as redness in eyes and stray hairs using the Patch and Clone Stamp tools. These other blemishes vary greatly from image to image. In this image in particular, I spent time eliminating red eyes.

6. Liquify. Use the Forward Warp tool (discussed in the "Nip Tuck" section) to elongate and narrow the neck. Also, adjust the shape of the subject's ear and forehead for a more pleasing aesthetic.
